Being the biggest of the Alfa spiders gives this sporty convertible a smoother ride on any type of road. To match its bigger size, it boasts the biggest engine of all Alfa Romeos ( except full blown race cars).
It's a pure blood 6 cylinder with 160 HP(SAE) that gets you to 200 Km/hour( 125 m.p.h) and still the car holds on tight to the road.
An engine and gearbox of alluminum alloy that runs smooth at low and high speed and when you engage 5th. gear still begs for more.
Il Cuore Sportivo( the sportive heart )is what best defines this truly amazing, superbly crafted, fine tuned sport car.

Some more information:
ALFA stands for Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica di Automobili (Lombard Anonimous Car Factory)
The Alfa Romeo badge( the cross and the serpent ) comes from the coat of arms of both the city of Milan( the cross) and the Visconti family( the serpent), duke of Milan in medieval times.
Alfa Romeo started assembling cars in 1906 under the name Societá Italiana Automobili Darracq( Darracq Automobiles Italian Society) and in 1910 renamed Alfa. Then in 1916 Nicola Romeo entered Alfa as shareholder and managing director; thus the company being known as Alfa Romeo.
